Feature Friday #13 - Andy W. Clift

What got you into art?
Batman the Animated Series. Cartoons were my gateway into art, but it was Batman TAS that tipped it over the edge from hobby to love.

The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild Comic

I drew up a quick comic about the Sheik stone/Apple comparison in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Sorry for the bad drawing, but check it out below:

Geek Mash Plays: Crabs Adjust Humidity

Yesterday, Casey, Brad, Kayleigh, Matt, Ross and Neil from Geek Mash played a couple of games of Crabs Adjust Humidity. This is an unofficial expansion based on popular card game Cards Against Humanity. It can be played separately, or mix up the cards and enjoy a game with both.

Feature Friday #12 - Isa Shaw-Abulafia

Hey Isa, how are you?
Pretty good thanks! Busy, which is always what you want as a freelancer. Got lots of different projects on the go.

What made you first get into cosplaying and what was your first costume?
My first convention cosplay was probably something horribly embarrassing, like a Naruto character. But before that, me and my brother used to dress up as superheroes and Jedi and stuff like that all the time when we were kids. Doomed to be nerds from the start really.

As for why I started cosplaying, it was as simple as going to my first convention and seeing other people doing it who looked like they were having the best time. I was always an arty, creative kid as well as a massive nerd, so when I was just discovering the world of conventions and fandom, it was a revelation to discover how those interests could come together in a way that would also enable me to meet other people with my interests.

Brads Top 10s - Twists

I love a good Twist

A well done Twist can make or break a TV Show or film and we take these things for granted sometimes

Here's a look at my top ten favourite twists and thar be spoilers in this here bounty so be careful

10. Fight Club
- Your Name is Tyler Durden

Edward Norton's character cannot sleep, and his therapist says to attend different get together sessions like for testicular cancer to see what real problems are, although the therapist should have not AT ALL said that his problems were small, that's where you get pyschological problems

So he gets addicted whilst attending these sessions when someone else starts attending called Marla who calls him out on attending these things when he probably doesn't even have these problems

Meanwhile he meets Tyler Durden on a plane, a hip guy who people would love to be

He arrives back home to his condo being in an explosion, so decides to call Tyler Durden about it, and there a friendship starts brewing and to get out their frustrations they start a Fight Club

What Are The Geek Mash Crew Playing/Watching? #6

What have the Geek Mash crew been watching and reading this week?
Check it out below!

Lately, I've still been watching Game of Thrones. The series carries on being amazing, and I'm loving seeing the series unfold, predictions coming true and twists still leaving us shocked. I don't know what the big cliff hanger will be this season, but I can't wait to find out in 3 more episodes.

With it being my birthday this week, I got a few presents; games and movies mainly. I watched A Letter to Momo the other day, an excellent anime that was also very touching. I would highly recommend it to anime fans, as it felt a lot like a Studio Ghibli movie.

Feature Friday #11 - Sarah Childs

"Purple Sam: Inspired by the beautiful Samantha Ravndahl, MUA, artwork available through my Patreon"
What got you into art?

I have loved drawing my entire life, I can’t remember a time before drawing. As a young child I would always carry a stack of papers everywhere I went, drawing animals and scenery. I then fell in love with video games and would always pause the screen and try to draw the characters. Now video games and concept art are my biggest inspirations when I am creating.

Brads Top 10s - Special Features

I always love checking out the special features on DVD's and Blu-Rays and in the late 90s and early 2000s the 2 disc edition was something I would try and get, but nowadays all the good stuff seems to be on Blu-Ray

Here's a list of 10 which are my favourites

Unfortunately these aren't always featured on youtube for various reasons so in those cases I've either chosen my favourite scene from the movie or TV show featured, or in the very last case, a cinema sins

Now on with the list!

10. Wet Hot American Summer
 - Fart Track

This adds a fart track to the film, so whenever a character sits down, bends over etc he/she farts. Makes a funny film even funnier

Lumo - Game Review

I had the opportunity to check out Lumo recently at the London MCM Comic Con

Released on – PS4, PC, Mac and Linux

Version reviewed – PS4
Other versions - Xbox One and PS Vita coming soon
Install size - 3gb

Developed by Gareth Noyce who has previously worked on Crackdown (1 and 2), Project Gotham Racing 3 and Fable 2, and this is his first game developed for Triple-Eh? games

This is a love letter to those old style of games like Knight Lore, Head Over Heels and Gunfright, an homage to those games you would wait about 30 minutes to load up on tape and sit around reading the Beano or Dandy

Rising Star Games were kind enough to supply me with a review copy so I could delve into it properly at home so lets dive right in

Feature Friday #10 - Marc from Fuzzballs

What got you into art?
I always wanted to work in video games but i never really knew what as, but art seemed like an obvious way in when i was at school. Games like Art Alive on the Mega Drive allowed me to be creative before i even realised i was. I loved playing games and seeing how they made the art work and thats what i wanted to try and emulate. It was years before i got a job in video games, starting as a tester but that opened uo my eyes to a whole new world of 3D art, pixel art and all sorts in between.
