Nintendo E3 2017 Press Conference Recap

Nintendo capped off 2017's E3 with their 25 minute digital conference. Followed immediately after with their standard Nintendo Treehouse, their presentation offered some surprise reveals, and a greater look on some titles that we already knew were incoming.

It was great to see Nintendo fully embracing the Switch, this time around. Whilst the Wii U sadly gathered some dust, the line-up and 3rd party support is larger for the Switch.

Check out all of the reveals below!

Xenoblade Chronicles 2
Nintendo opened their conference with a brand new trailer for the sequel to Xenoblade Chronicles. It looks pretty good! Available for Nintendo Switch this Winter.

New Kirby!
No title has been officially announced yet, but the latest Kirby instalment for the Nintendo Switch was previewed. It looks adorable, and is set to be an enjoyable co-op title (here's hoping!). It's due out sometime in 2018.

Pokemon RPG Incoming...
Game Freak announced in a brief clip that they're working on a 'core Pokemon RPG title' for the Nintendo Switch. Exciting! It would've been nice to have had at least a brief glimpse, but they've confirmed that work is underway, so we'll just have to be patient, and wait.

Metroid Prime 4
Finally! Fans have been asking for a new Metroid title for ages, and Nintendo teased us all with this brief glimpse of a title card. Hopefully, it won't be long before we get further details in an upcoming Direct.

Yoshi Game
Like the Kirby title, we were treated to a pretty adorable Yoshi trailer. Both games seem kinda similar, but it looks like it's going to be a great co-op title for the Nintendo Switch.

Fire Emblem Warriors

We had hints that this was incoming before, but following on from the Wii U's Zelda-themed Hyrule Warriors, there's going to be a Fire Emblem version next! These Dynasty Warriors-style hack and slash games are a little repetitive, but they're hugely popular in Japan, and they're also pretty fun (albeit in smaller bursts). It'll be interesting to see what direction this is being taken in.

It'll be coming to the New 3DS and New 2DS in the autumn.

Breath of the Wild DLC
As if Breath of the Wild isn't big enough, the Switch title has some DLC coming up soon! Containing new quests and outfits, Pack 1 will be released on the 30th of June, whilst Pack 2 is out in the winter.

Nintendo also confirmed some pretty sweet looking Amiibos, based on the four champions in game. These will be compatible with the new DLC.

Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle
We were treated to a much longer preview in yesterday's Ubisoft E3 press conference, but Nintendo threw in a trailer to promote it here, too. The turn-based strategy game seems to be shaping up to be a fun collaboration between Nintendo and Ubisoft.

Rocket League
Rocket League is coming to the Switch! It'll feature exclusive customisable items and cars, and will also include cross-play functionality, meaning that all your mates who already have it on the other consoles can join in with you.

Super Mario Odyssey

One of the best parts of the conference, Super Mario Odyssey looks fantastic! This pretty sandboxy Mario title not only looks beautiful, but the gameplay suits this bigger, more open world. Check out Nintendo Treehouse for more gameplay, too. Oh, and ignore the cheesy theme song in the trailer below...

Further reveals are being dropped in Nintendo Treehouse as we speak. Keep an eye on our Twitter for our reactions!
